Why Marshall Is Running
Like thousands of Tarrant County homeowners, Marshall Hobbs watched his property appraisal climb year after year — faster than his income, faster than his neighborhood's actual market, and with little explanation from the county. When he tried to protest, he found a process that felt designed to discourage ordinary people from showing up.
That experience didn't make Marshall angry. It made him determined. He spent the next two years learning the Texas Property Tax Code inside and out, attending ARB hearings as an observer, and talking with neighbors — homeowners, small business owners, landlords — who shared the same frustration: the system isn't broken by accident.
Marshall is running for Tarrant Appraisal Review Board Place 2 because the ARB is where appraisals are actually challenged — and right now, too many taxpayers walk in unprepared and walk out defeated. He wants to change that from the inside.
What He Brings to the Board
Deep knowledge of the process
Marshall has studied the Texas Property Tax Code, ARB procedures, and appraisal methodology so he can ask the right questions and hold the process accountable.

Born and raised in Tarrant County, Marshall understands the neighborhoods, the growth pressures, and the real impact of appraisal decisions on working families and small businesses.

Marshall has no ties to the appraisal district, no developer donors, and no political debts. His only obligation is to the taxpayers he will serve.
